SANDI HANDS GLOVES ARE WARMING UP FOR MOTORHOME RENO !

I'M EXCITED !!

Anything new & improved, especially 'Recycled' New & Improved, gives me such a sense of achievement!

We are about to upcycle our 1989 Mazda T3500 Motorhome.  I definitely wanted secondhand, as long as the motor side of it was reliable & the inside had character, I was happy !!
Now I can get my teeth into it.

ALREADY ACHIEVED:

Putting your own touches & decor really helps along the way!

We are already pulling things out & apart - but nothing major yet!

I am painting the bottom cupboards but leaving the top ones as a feature.  Some people think I am mad, but they did when we renovated our unit - & it turned out awesome!  So on a smaller scale, here we go ...

I have got plans:

New Curtains
Painted cupboards
New Flooring
Signwriting

So with all this happening, I am bound to take some pickies & videos, and I am bound to use the Sandi Hands Sanding Gloves to make the job so much easier.  And yes, I will definitely share all of the above with you.

So standby for the before & afters & durings !!!  Here are a few ...

I will also be sharing how to's in case you want to do the same or similar.

MALENY WOOD EXPO - OUR FIRST BIG EXPO ON THE ROAD AHEAD

We were not supposed to be this end of the country but as it turns out God had other ideas.

A phone call with Steve, the organizer of the Maleny Wood Expo, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, was the invitation we needed to experience such an amazing weekend of marketing, meeting so many gifted people, and introducing to the public our Sandi Hands Sanding Gloves.

Amongst the lush green grass on a sunny day in the mountains of Maleny, we enjoyed setting up with others of the like, chatting and sharing each others wares & stories.  People came from all over in their droves, for all sorts of reasons.  Country folk are unique people, always happy and enjoyable and great for a friendly laugh.  They are not in a hurry, but ready to do anything to help, and offer a word of encouragement along the way.

The second day was welcomed with the trusty Mountain wet, foggy weather.  We thought that would make a quiet day, but not up there.  They came out in their wellies, raincoats, umbrellas and drisabones. 'Loved every minute of our 2nd day!!!

My cousin, who lives up in the Maleny countryside of Witta, also ran a plant stall there, and was a welcoming help to make our time there pleasant.  Everyone knows everyone and he is well known & loved.

The Woodcraft exhibitors fascinated me as I walked around the stalls, introducing myself as the Sandi Hands lady!  It was so exciting to find and meet so many gifted people with so much welcome in their hearts & excitement & pride for the industry.

We love the exposure at these events, but really enjoy the opportunity to meet so many people with so many experiences & trades - here is a big shout-out to a few great businesses we met on the weekend!

Leisa Gunton from Booloumba Arts captures the essence of her unique pottery & crafts using local materials for most of her work.  She is truly gifted which shows in her amazing work.  Visit Leisa's work online here - www.booloumbaarts.com.au

I fell in love with the stunning Vintage Cutlery Jewellery by Bent Silver - this is so different from many I have seen and so beautifully crafted to perfection.  Their prices are also very reasonable - you must check them out here - www.bentsilver.com.au

This Unique Country Furniture & Gifts of Colonial Woodcrafts are personally handcrafted by David & Julie Harriman - their personal gift shows through their work - a must see at www.facebook.com/colonialwoodcrafts

NEW ADVENTURES FOR SANDIHANDS

Life is a Journey - it just depends what path you take as to how it ends up!

Sandi Hands is on a new path and we are about to share it with you for the next 2 or 3 years or how ever long it takes.  We are very excited and promise not to bore you with trivial stories but to take you on our journey with us!

We  believe or product is worth telling everyone about & according to many of our users, if you haven't tried it, you are missing out on a new but simple experience in sanding.

So we begin:

We have moved to a new base in Brisbane City, Queensland, and set up a new office!  We have also sold our home and have bought a Motorhome to take the product to you!   Our trusty office staff headed by our skilled Marketing & Managing Director, Bonita, will be taking care of all the onsite business; online orders, office running etc. and we will be in touch 24/7 with them to make sure we bring you products & service you well deserve.

This is our new home ...

Of course we are going to add our personal touch & make it our own, & of course there will be some French Shabby Chic Style (reluctantly agreed by my hubby!!)  And of course we will have to name her - WATCH THIS SPACE ...

So the journey begins to new places, meeting new people, demonstrating & selling to new customers, sharing new experiences and gifts and talents of others workshops etc.  It is exciting and we can't wait to meet you on the journey - whether it be in person or online - please make yourself known to us.  Please email us & tell us your story.

If you have a physical or online store where you think our Sandi Hands Sanding Glove Products would be a great product to sell & promote, please contact us at sales@sandihands.com.au

INTRODUCING UPCYCLING TO THE WORLD - THE BIG ADVENTURE - FOLLOW OURS & OTHERS' STORIES

I don't get the chance to get to my favourite hobby as much as I used to, and lately I have been reminiscing a lot over old French Shabby Chic & Vintage pieces I have had fun transforming.

I have been totally lost in the transformation of some historical furniture icons, that all have a story to tell.

Lately I have been busy building my business of my Sandi Hands Sanding Gloves so you can all share in the enjoyment of sanding like myself; and like so many other hobbyists & tradespeople do too. Soon my hubby & I are going on a huge adventure around this great land of Australia, sharing the news of this amazing product !  I feel very blessed - we call it "GOD'S BUSINESS" as I didn't make this glove to market.  I made it to make my job of sanding more comfortable, manageable, and workable; not to mention saving my nails that were wearing down more than the timber I was working on.

Sometimes we make plans and then God says - "Hold on Jenny - Get on over here & see what I have planned for you!"  Sometimes we here Him clearly - sometimes we rather choose not to (to our detriment).  Well this time I was listening, whilst my beautiful family & friends encouraged me also to pursue this great adventure we are currently on.

When we set out on these great God Adventures, thing don't quite go to plan (our plan), or on the other hand, some things go terribly wrong because we do not listen to His plan, and follow our own discretion - once again, to our detriment!!  Well, I'm not one to give up easily and for the first time in my life I knew God didn't want me to give up either, but to listen, learn, grow and expand His business of Sandi Hands Sanding Gloves.

So, trusty blog followers of mine, watch this space, as you will be hearing a lot more about the BIG ADVENTURE yet to unfold ...

We will not only be introducing you to ideas, stories, places but also interesting people in the trades who are doing some amazing things with their own gifts and adventures.

STAY TUNED OVER THE COMING MONTHS OF 2016 AND ONWARDS ...
EXCITING STORIES & IDEAS TO COME !!!

PROUD OF LATEST REVIEW OF SANDI HANDS

Hello  !!
Everyone is always pleased to get positive feedback on something they are proud of and have put a lot of time and effort into - well sorry but I am going to 'brag' a bit ...
Recently we were asked at 'Sandi Hands' to send samples of our product to the Australian Wood Review Committee, and this is what they had to say in return:
